The short answer: Lapland Glow Chalets is about 17 km from Rovaniemi Airport (RVN). There is no public transport out to the chalets, so take a taxi or an Uber; the drive takes about 17 minutes. If you want to explore on your own, rent a car at the airport.
Getting to Rovaniemi
Rovaniemi Airport has flights from Helsinki all year round, and in winter many direct flights from other European cities. The flight from Helsinki takes a little over an hour. There is also a night train from Helsinki to Rovaniemi, which arrives in the morning.
Taxi or Uber
Taxis wait outside the arrivals hall, and ride-hailing apps work in Rovaniemi too. Give the driver the address, Olleronvaarantie 57, 96100 Rovaniemi. The chalets are in Ollerovaara, north of the city.
Renting a car
Several rental companies have desks at the airport. Cars come with winter tyres in the season. A car is useful if you want to explore at your own pace; for tours you don’t need one, as the tour operators pick you up from the chalet.
Arriving late
Check-in is from 15:00 to 21:00. If your flight lands later, tell us in advance and we arrange self check-in, so you can go straight to your chalet.
Getting around once you’re here
Restaurants in the Ollerovaara area are a short walk away, and the nearest supermarket is about 7 km away, 7 minutes by car. Breakfast is brought to your door every morning.
